On the 20th January 2020, we completed the first leg of our trip: driving from the UK to Singapore. To celebrate, we thought we would publish a slightly different blog post, reflecting back over our 306 days on the road.
Tea Leaves and Monitor Lizards
Our next stop in Malaysia was the Cameron Highlands. Driving up into the Highlands, the temperature and humidity dropped - a large factor as to why this is such a popular destination for Malaysians and foreign tourists alike.
A Lucky Day
Chris rolled down the window and cocked his head to the side. This is never a good sign. Window down and cocked head means that I must keep absolutely silent until Chris has decided whether or not the sound he thinks he heard is a problem. Natalie had been vibrating more than usual for a day or so. Chris knew something was not quite right, but were yet to work out what it was.
Morocco 6.10.18 – 29.10.18 (Part 3)
Disaster has struck! We have succumbed to the terrible fate of being idiotic, gullible tourists.
A few more practice runs
So in case it isn't obvious, Australia is really far away. This is going to be a pretty big trip. I still haven't entirely realised myself how big this will be. Whilst nothing can really prepare anyone for spending 18 months driving across the world on a very limited budget, we did try to do a few more practice runs before we left.
